• The space: measure the width, height and depth of the gap. Leave a little extra room at the sides and at the back for hoses, pipes and air flow, and check the maker's guidance for the exact gap.
• The doors: make sure the appliance door can open fully, and which way it opens, without catching on a wall or worktop.
• The route in: measure your front door, hallways, stairs and tight turns. The packaged size is larger than the appliance itself.
• Connections: check the plug socket, and the water inlet and waste pipe if it needs them, are within reach.
• Your old appliance: decide where it will go. Installation and recycling of your old appliance are available on this page.
